The «Groupe Français du Crétacé» and the «Working Group on Coniacian-Maastrichtian Stages» have initiated a multidisciplinary study of the sections which cropped out on the highway excavations between Saintes and Mirambeau (Charente-Maritime). These stratigraphie sections range from Cenomanian to Late Senonian. The present paper is only devoted to the biostratigraphy of the Senonian. The vertical distribution of the most important fossil groups is shown on the range charts (foraminifera, ostracodes, nannoplankton, dinoflagellates, cephalopods, bivalves, gastro¬ pods, echinoids, brachiopods, bryozoa). A tentative biozonation comparison is proposed ; it points out certain characteristic features of the Santonian stage and of the Campanian fr...
